We have been given the task to create a 5 minute non audio video in a group of 4 people. The video is to be called 'A Chance Encounter' After much consideration we have decided to go with the idea of a 'mugging' in city centre, with a twist at the end.
Script
- Long frame overlooking city centre - panning the area : birds eye view if possible (as if to be the view of the 'mugger')
- Camera zooms into the woman (victim of potential mugging)
- Camera follows back of man as he makes his way through the crowd. (man has hood up, looks suspicious)
- Woman begins to notice someone is following her, she looks around and beings to walk faster, building up tension.
- Man continues to follow the woman, she turns through side streets hoping to lose the man.
- Still following the woman, now increasing his pace also.
- Woman begins to walk faster, into a sprint before finally tripping over.
- As she picks herself up , man taps woman on the shoulder. camera is now facing the man. Woman turns around scared, as he smiles, and hands her the purse she dropped earlier with the picture of her (ID) on the front.
- Viewer realises that he was not out to mug her, but simply give her her purse back.
